Lab Turn-In Requirements

NO late labs accepted unless there are extenuating circumstances and you have discussed with me.

Printed copies of all labs are to be turned in during regular class time.

No labs (or any other assignments) will be accepted after the final scheduled class (NOT final exam day).

What to turn in:

·         All documents that were created or edited during the assignment.  Some assignments may have more that one part.  Do in order and have appropriate printed output.

·         Staple the parts of each individual assignment together.  DO NOT STAPLE MULTIPLE LABS TOGETHER.

·         You may skip any references to COLOR (font color, bkgrds, etc).

Lab Emails:

When ASKED you will email certain labs to me. Any such lab should have all parts (if more than one) be in ONE zipped folder.  Folder name should be the lab number (example: Lab06).  Your name on the folder is not necessary.  I will save your files into your personal folder on my drive.

E-mail this folder to address below.  I WILL acknowledge receipt within 24 hours (If you don't get a reply, I didn't get it!)

Specific Instructions for each section:

Windows XP labs:

The windows labs will require you to take “screen shots” of the computer screen.  These are pasted into Microsoft Word and printed.  Include your name, section, and lab number on each screen print.  Instructions for printing a windows screen can be found on the class webpage

Example:

Word labs:

The Word document is to be completed exactly as instructed. You will add a final paragraph that contains Your name, section, and lab number.  NO cover sheets, footers, or headers!

Excel labs:

The Excel document is to be completed exactly as instructed. You will insert Your name, section, and lab number in a separate row at the bottom of the spreadsheet(s).  NO cover sheets, footers, or headers!

Access labs:

When asked to save a table, query or form in the lab exercises, you will add your first initial, last name as part of the table, query, or form name.

Example:

If the lab instructs you to save a table as Sales, then you are to save it as Sales – firstinitial_lastname.

When you asked to print any object (table, query, report, form), then include your name as part of the title.

PowerPoint labs:

Complete the assignment exactly as instructed in text.  Add a slide to the end of the presentation with your name, lab and date centered on the slide.

Integrated labs:

Integrated labs will be a combination of all of the above.  Use the appropriate instructions for the program you are using.
